TheArtist Commentary...

Sept. 22nd 2003

I have been going in a new direction in my Artwork. I've taken an interest in three-dimensional Art. Making virtual people and posing them in poser and 3dsmax. My new direction in Art can be seen here.

Side-note: My first ever published 3d work is man praying in darkness .

I just posted 22 new works of Art on the Digital Art section.

Some thoughts on 22 new works I posted:

Abstract I II III IV V VI : These are Digital photographs. The subjects being photographed are from nature. I took ordinary pictures of the ocean-scapes and sky-scapes. Then I edited them heavily in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 . My intent was to transform and transmogrify ordinary into the extraordinary. I heeded some advice given to me that "you should look at things as if you don't know there names". The pictures were taken with a Canon D60 camera.

Vistas I II III : Another attempt to make ordinary into the extraordinary. These are Digital photos of ordinary plant life. But transformed into a kind of "Alien" Vista. I envision to make more of these pictures. As I really do love how they turn out. My idea of Beautiful, but mysterious.

row of flowers I II : My idea on these pictures was a very basic one. I wanted to make rows of plants look like rows of soldiers on a battlefield. Making ordinary flowers look menacing.

My Art on the theme of "violence" has won the honor of showing at the "Violens" Festival Tábor (Czech Republic). My winning submission will be shown on their "Violens" Festival Tábor online gallery from August 15th-26th, 2002. The event was organized by CESTA (Cultural Exchange Station in Tábor). I'm very happy to participate in this distinguished event.

I have made a breakthrough. With the help of reading a book on the psychology of Art. I am honing my skills as an artist. Depression uses some of the new ideas I'm reading about. This is one of my most deeply personal works I have done in a long time. I think it's my best work yet. I feel I'm hitting my stride at this moment in my life. I have so much planned for the world. Hold on to your hats, and get ready for the ride.

It's been a Very long time but I have just made scream v6. As you may know the greatest of all "scream" pictures were done by Edvard Munch. He created the most horrifying human screams in the History of Art. If you look in my Traditional Art section you will see my scream version 1 through 5. I am in rapture by "scream art", for the tremendous emotional strings it pulls. So it is with trepidation that I humbly continue my personal quest to make the best scream pictures possible. One day I hope to make the "ultimate" scream picture.
